i'm getting settled in my new surroundings back in my home-state and getting into the groove of graduate school and working part time at a church in clarksburg... now to get to work with my photography "business" (if you will)! i've just ordered new business cards with a blog address, updated phone number, and physical address (... apparently the old ones were only accurate as far as my name). and now i think it's time for a new promotion, what do you think?

life changes... price changes.

wanted to let all of my loving followers know that i have finally updated my pricing list as well as my contact info since my big move! also, i will be waiving the travel fee for appointments in point pleasant during most weekends.

i have to appologize about these photos getting finished and posted so late! my initial goal was to have them finished the next weekend prior to my first day of grad school (one job at a time, ya know?) and it has sort of been a nightmare. i almost swore off photography all together. my memory card was being finiky (if that's how you spell the word) and a few pictures turned out... looking over developed! it was also my first indoor wedding so i'm still getting used to my built in flash (not to mention the nazi minister...), and the huge rain storm preventing us from taking any couple shots. but the biggest hurdle was yet to come...

i was sooo excited to start school for many reasons. one being that i planned on purchasing a new laptop that was quick enough to edit all of my photos on. i dreamed about this machine. and i bought it! and i happily downloaded eric and bj's wedding pictures onto it and began editing away...

it was quite a long process and would freeze every few pictures. weird. well i would get frustrated, turn the laptop off, and come back the next day. 12 days later... the entire hard drive crashed on my new baby. my child. thank goodness i have enough sense not to delete pictures until i have passed on the finished product to the client. sigh... anyway....

bj and eric i am sincerely sorry that it has taken me forever and 8 days (actually about 20 days...) to put your preview up. i hope you enjoy them as much as i enjoyed being there for your special day! i'm looking forward to a couple portrait session with you in the fall, on the house!

teb and micah.

when i got back into town teb called me to see if i could do a photo shoot for them at the park where she and micah had their first date and also got engaged. they've already seen some of the unfinished product but while i'm at my apartment at school and they are back in point pleasant i wanted to post something so they had a taste of the finished product! these are just a few of my favorites...

congrats guys! teb i'm so happy you've found such a sweet guy that adores you as much as micah does!

cross country journey is over...

now the pictures can begin. we had quite a few stops between glendale, az and morgantown, wv. here are a few pictures from that journey... totally unedited and i really am not sure what pictures will end up. just wanted to share with my whopping 13 followers.

stood on a corner in winslow, arizona...

and hung out in the petrified forest...

visited the cadilac graveyard in texas... did i spell cadilac right?

remembered those who died in the tragic oklahoma city bombing....

and conquered immense fear to get in that tiny car to get to the top of the st. louis arch! def. worth it... def. didn't trust the car still....

it is super hard to take pictures of a 2 month old.

i have taken pictures of 6 month + kiddos and newborns... but that 1-4 month range is a challenge! so here are some cute ones of the diggs family, plus grandma julie! there are many, many more...

i love how ian seems to be embarressed by momma already!
